The Andalusian cuisine

Andalusia has a delicious, extensive Mediterranean cuisine influenced by the Romans, Moors and Jews due to its rich past. The diversity is enormous from the Iberian pig in the interior to a wide range of fish along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts. Olive oil and olives are in excess, vegetables here still have flavor and the freshly squeezed orange juice is unmatchable. The tapas find their origin here and, with the gazpacho, are known worldwide. Each restaurant prepares its dishes in its own way through recipes handed down from mother to child.

The local secrets

In the immediate vicinity of El Molino Santisteban there are many restaurants and tapas bars that are especially crowded with locals at lunchtime. Along the beaches and in Marbella and Málaga there is a wide variety of dining options from a delicious simple freshly fried fish to culinary delights, here it is often busy in the evening. The owners know the special places.

The menu at El Molino Santisteban

Upon request a three-course menu is prepared four times a week and served in nice weather by Gerard on one of the terraces and when it is colder in the large dining room of the water mill. Madeline cooks with fresh products from the region and the cuisine typifies itself as Mediterranean. For many guests, after a day of culture, beach or another activity, it is wonderfully relaxing to sit down in the evening and not have to go out again. There is a wine list with good and affordable wines and other drinks. For the children guests we serve a children’s menu at a desired time. Again, there is a lot of attention to fresh vegetables and products.
For the guests who do not opt for the menu, there is the possibility to order a tapas platter, a green salad or pasta.

Should you like to cook by yourself, there is a guest kitchen at your disposal.
