A WELCOME FROM YOUR HOSTS

After we made a trip around the world we developed the idea of running a small hotel with a personal touch and where guests can also enjoy the freedom to do whatever they like. It was clear to us that it had to be in Spain. The culture, the people, the pace of living and the climate were important factors. We both have a good knowledge of the Spanish language.

After a couple of years working in the Netherlands and the birth of our son Folkert (2001) and our daughter Clementine (2003) we decided to give up our careers, Madeline as headhunter and Gerard in banking. In 2007 we bought El Molino Santisteban, an old watermill and a hotel in a beautiful location on the banks of the river El Río Grande in the heart of Andalucía. In 2009 we moved from the centre of Haarlem to the countryside of Andalucía.

Now we welcome guests from all over the world in our renovated hotel. We enjoy showing our guests around this beautiful region with its rich heritage!

General terms 2024

• We ask a downpayment of 50% of the total price of your stay, to be paid within 2 weeks after the final reservation.

• The remaining amount can be paid at the end of your stay.

• We don’t have credit card facilities at the hotel. There are several banks and cash dispensers in the nearby villages.

• Cancellation policy:
- cancellation 6 weeks or more before arrival we will refund 90% of the downpayment (50% of the total price of your stay). In case of changing the reservation to another date the downpayment will keep 100% off its value.
- cancellation between 4-6 weeks before arrival we will refund 50% of the downpayment.
- cancellation between 4-2 weeks before arrival there will be no refund of the downpayment.
- cancellation less than 2 weeks before arrival we will charge the total amount of your stay.

• We advise you to take a cancellation insurance.

• Check out before 11:00 pm, check in after 14:00 pm.
