Andalucía has a broad and delicious cuisine and has been influenced by its rich heritage of Romans, Arabs and Jews. The diversity of dishes is huge from the Iberian pigs inland to a great variety of fish along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coastline.
Olive oil and olives are abundant, vegetables still have their real taste and freshly pressed orange juice is bliss. Tapas originated from Andalucía and, like gazpacho are known worldwide. Every restaurant makes its dishes in its own specific way using recipes carried on from mother to child.
There are many restaurants and bars near El Molino Santisteban that especially during lunchtime are busy with locals. Along the beaches and in Marbella and Málaga there are a great variety of eateries offering simple grilled fish or culinary masterpieces. At night it can be busy here as well.

Madeline and Gerard also organise cooking workshops for groups renting the whole place. An outside kitchen is set up beneath the covered terrace and the home-made dishes are enjoyed together at a large table in the garden.
