Tarta de higos
ingredients for 4 people
Ingredients
280 grams of puff pastry, 60 grams of ground almond flour, 2 tablespoons of flour, 60 grams of powdered sugar, 40 grams of melted butter, ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 large figs sliced.
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. On a floured countertop, roll out the puff pastry to 3mm thickness. Put the almond flour, flour, powdered sugar, melted butter and vanilla extract together and spread over the puff pastry bottom. Top with the figs and sprinkle with a little extra powdered sugar or honey. Wrap the end of the dough around the figs and bake the tart for 25-30 minutes until nicely browned.
Serving
Remove the tart from the oven and cut into 4 pieces. Delicious with vanilla ice cream or thick cream.
NOTE: I often make 4 separate tarts so that each guest has a “cake of their own.”
NOTE: You can use peaches, nectarines, apricots or other fruits instead of figs.
